The iconic 300,000 SF Beaux-Arts Knickerbocker Hotel was built in 1906, and the trophy, corner property enjoys one of the most prominent locations in the heart of the internationally renowned Times Square District. Zyscovich was retained as the retail architect to develop retail signage design for the first and second floors of this monumental building.
The comfortable sophistication of Ristorante Sardinia derives from an interior design that is at once modern and welcoming. Rich woods and stonework impart a neighborhood ambience common to an urban osteria or trattoria or enoteca.
Outside the St. Moritz/ Loews Hotel, Zyscovich restored the original St. Moritz sign to the roof, retained and restored the original keystone steps and metal railings, and restored the terrazzo on the front and rear plazas. Most importantly, the firm joined the old with the new in a way that preserves the St. Moritz’s singularity.
The Tambo restaurant brand represents a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese design and cuisine. Zyscovich prepared kitchen and bar equipment layout, space planning, interior design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, furniture and equipment specifications, coordination and expedition of permitting process and management of bidding and construction administration.
In the early 1980’s, The Clevelander Hotel was one of the first of the Art Deco hotels along Ocean Drive to be restored. In the mid-1980’s, the hotel appeared in many episodes of Miami Vice, and soon became the quintessential South Beach experience.
