Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Retail & Entertainment Center Redevelopment

Zyscovich, as part of a design-build team, master planned and designed the redevelopment of the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center (FLAC). The concept for the FLAC is a multi-use complex that includes a new international competition swimming facility, a new International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF), conference/banquet rooms, a family aquatic center. Inspired by water, movement and athletic competition will give the FLAC the iconic aesthetic a facility such as this deserves. Our concept links the surrounding community to this new center with physical building forms, programmatic uses and public realm design elements. It enhances visual access to the water, provides an important amenity to the community and elevates the quality of this facility to create a world-class destination for Fort Lauderdale.
