Macy’s-Hoyt Street Development

This is a series of studies that were commissioned by Crown Holdings on behalf of Macy’s for the redevelopment of existing buildings owned by Crown to consider a new flagship location in downtown Brooklyn.
The project objective was to allow for the redevelopment of the outdated Macy’s building as a real estate asset while redefining their image in this market in a new location.
The major design goal was to create an interior urban space that would support and showcase the many Macy’s seasonal events as well as serve as an interactive retail experience space. Renderings depict such events as the Macy’s Flower Show, Thanksgiving Parade and Fashion shows.
