Miami Country Day School Katherine E. Franco Center for Learning Resources

The Katherine E. Franco Center for Learning Resources consists of a library, technology center, administrative and office complex for the lower, middle and upper schools, three multi-disciplinary labs and a multi-media recording studio. The new building is located at the center of the campus and creates a new campus identity with a signature tower element within the main facade. The new facility ties the rich history of the School with its modern approach to education. The facility incorporates the latest technology support and is “future approved” to allow technology and future generations to stay at the forefront of current standards. The facility has become the new activity hub for students, which incorporates interactive student learning, project based curriculum and facilitates board member, trustee and parent ability to educate the children. At the heart of the building is a central gathering space serving as a gallery lobby for the campus and a mixing valve for all areas creating a “synergy space” for collaborative and community learning.
