Museum Park Metromover Station

In response to the construction of the new Miami Art Museum and Miami Science Museum, the design included the re-orientation of the station’s face to connect it to Museum Park. A plaza-like atmosphere highlighted the design and joined the station to Museum Drive. In addition, the landscape design connected to the landscape design proposed for the museums. To create an iconic wayfinding marker from the museums, colored glass replaced the glass within the existing elevator tower. The work consisted of an existing conditions report, followed by the design criteria. The scope of the project included replacing the escalator and elevator, new LED light fixtures, painting, and a new signage package that integrates the station with the park. The station is an integral part of the revitalized Museum Park.
