In response to the construction of the new Miami Art Museum and Miami Science Museum, the design included the re-orientation of the station’s face to connect it to Museum Park.
Transit supportive land use plays a critical role in the success of major rapid transit investments. The SMART Plan intended to advance six rapid transit corridors, along with a network system of Bus Express Rapid Transit (BERT) service, in order to implement mass transit projects in Miami-Dade County.
The modified prototype project includes new station buildings and an overpass, new platforms to accommodate Tri-Rail and Amtrak train lengths, new canopies for the platform and bus waiting area, and reconfiguration of the parking areas.

As a unique solution to the site’s size constraints and urban setting, Zyscovich elevated the building to span the street, avoiding the underground communication cables and water and sewer lines.
Zyscovich was hired to create a new Little Haiti Cultural Campus at the site of the existing Caribbean Marketplace. The Plan included the Little Haiti Soccer Park, now complete, which connects to the Little Haiti Cultural Campus via street improvements to NE 2nd Avenue.
The 7th Avenue Transit Village was a mixed-use development project located in the heart of Liberty City, one of Miami-Dade’s oldest and most celebrated communities. This multimodal hub provided economic growth and community redevelopment opportunities for the area.
The 15,000 SF Elder Activity Center located at the Brighton Reservation has an entrance atrium and porte-cochere that leads to the reception area of the facility. The dining room is equipped with coolers, a kitchen, storage areas and an electrical room. The cardio/fitness center contains a fitness room and massage room.
Zyscovich provided an exhaustive multi-departmental facility needs assessment, program analysis, and site assessment to develop a new administrative and public safety complex for the STOF Brighton Reservation.
Zyscovich was commissioned to provide interior design services for multiple tenant offices that amount to a combined total of approximately 13,000 SF located at the Business Center at 2020 Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, Florida.
